American Idioms - Part I

Let´s start a new serie of posts with some American Idioms :

Actions speak louder than words - a proverb meaning that it is better to do something about a problem than just talk about it.

Act of God an occurrence (usually an accident) for which no human is responsible; an act of nature such as a storm, an earthquake or windstorm.

A friend in need is a friend indeed - a proverb meaning that a true friend is a person who will help you when you really need.

All roads leas to Rome - a proverb meaning that there are many different routes to the same goal.
